In 2014, the Detroit Theater District Business Association launched one of their signature fundraising events for the DTDBA – the Annual Grand Circus Gala. Since its inception, the Gala has raised over a million dollars for improvements, security, and programming around the Grand Circus Park area. As of 2020, the fund-raising initiative is now lead by the Grand Circus Park Conservancy.
